The Château de Marçay, by virtue of its location in the Val-de-Loire vineyard and its reputation, is honour bound to offer on its menu all its best wines, from various French wine appellations, and to be a perfect ambassador for its region's vintages.
We present the most well-known wines along with wines from smaller vineyards that have been allowed to age «at the back of the cellar», which will surprise our customers.
The large wine cellar is set 12 metres under the château; it was dug to extract the freestone which was used in constructing the buildings.
Its even temperature ensures that the 12 000 bottles age well, with 500 names from the Val-de-Loire, the French regions and 17 wine-producing countries on offer.
Every evening at around 6 pm, our sommelier organises a tour of the cellar and runs a wine tasting session (book in advance at reception).
